Located at Clayton and Sheridan, the Clayton Hotel was built in 1921 as the Salvation Army Hotel.
It boasted 113 residential units and for a number of years was the home of Jullius Synikin, and
is noted as the site of the marriage of Ben Kubelsky of Waukegan and Sadye Marks (Sadie Marcowitz) of Seattle and Vancouver.
