The Western Vaudeville Managers Association (W.V.M.A) was a booking agency that included a number of small-time circuits as well as the Orpheum and Sullivan & Considine circuits. Salisbury and Benny were booked through W.V.M.A.
The organization primarily booked theaters in the Midwest, South and West associated with the Gus Sun, Butterfield, Allardt, Theilen, Finn and Heiman and Interstate Theater chains.
In 1906-7 United Booking Offices (UBO) was formed and divided the nation into two, WVMA would control booking west of Chicago, and Keith-Albee would control the east.
Due to the distances between shows, many of the Western performers stayed on the same playbill from town to town, travelling together for several months, unlike in the east where there were more options.
