Colman, Ronald (b 1891-02-09; d. 1958-05-19) and Hume, Benita (b. 1906-10-14; d. 1967-11-01)

Known as a dramatic actor in real life, on the radio and television Ronald along with his wife were Jack's next door neighbours. 
In fact they lived a few blocks away. During the run of their own program "Halls Of Ivy' (1950-52) Jack made one appearance as "Jack Benny"
The classic 'Your money or your life' bit was sparked by Jack borrowing Ronald's Oscar to show Rochester.
